Dr Catarina Corujas MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Catarina qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2003 at Universidade de Evora, Portugal. Although Catarina started her career looking after a lovely small herd of Mirandesa cattle and its food factory, she couldn't keep away from the smaller pets. After a short period at a small animal practice, she moved to the UK and has been practising in Hertfordshire since 2006. Catarina was a partner at a practice in St Albans for 9 years but missed working within a large team and decided that Chess Vets should be her next 'work family.'
Catarina has an interest in ultrasonography and dentistry and is studying towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with the University of Liverpool.
She lives with her partner, two small children, one tabby cat called Janita, one black and white cat, Tobias and one small rescued dog named Patch. Catarina spends her (little!) free time going for walks in nature with Patch and the family. When too cold or wet she will relax by doing some crafts, playing her guitar or practising yoga.
